Continuous / Custom Tray Rolling Bench System – Per Square Foot

Before you pull the trigger on a new rolling bench system consider this – NOT ALL ROLLING BENCH SYSTEMS ARE THE SAME! We are familiar with ALL rolling bench systems currently on the market. We won’t name names but we know there are a couple of companies out there selling rolling bench systems that cost less. What those companies do not tell you is that they use light-guage, weak, flimsy material and you have to bolt, and in some cases even rivet, every part together. What you make up for in cost you will lose during the lengthly and frustrating installation process and once it’s finally assembled you will have a cheap, delicate rolling bench system – probably not what you were looking for when you made your purchase.

We actually received $160K worth of business because a customer purchased one of these cheap bench systems and when their shipment finally arrived and they examined the materials and saw what it was going to take to assemble (and how long it was going to take) they ended up choosing our bench system – and they could not have been happier with their decision.

These are the best benches on the market – period. Other benches like this that we have looked at were flimsy, and if not firmly bolted to the ground they practically tipped over and collapsed when moved. Not these – these are bullet-proof! Solid metal and solid construction all-around.

Quality, price point, lead time. These are the three biggest factors to consider when shopping for a custom rolling bench solution. The bad news – there are only a handful of companies manufacturing rolling bench systems. The good news – BGH has you covered!

If you’ve searched the internet for rolling bench systems you’ve probably come to the conclusion you’ll either have to spend a lot of money and wait a long time, or settle for a product that is cheap and flimsy. Not anymore. While other manufacturers have lead times of 4 weeks to as much as 12 weeks, the lead time on these benches range from 3-6 weeks (lead times vary from day to day; contact us for current lead time). Not only will you receive your rolling bench system from BGH quicker, it will cost you less and will be of the highest quality. 

Yes, there are some “fancier” rolling bench systems available on the market, but you will pay considerably more, and in terms of functionality and durability you won’t really be getting anything more for your money. Trust us – our commercial consulting division has already spent the time scouring the planet for our clients. Once you do your own research we’re confident you’ll see that our bench systems are the biggest bang for the buck.

Custom benches can be any width between 4′-6′ in 6″ increments and any length in 6″ increments up to 50′; you can go longer but we do not recommend it because it can become more difficult to slide the bench back and forth. For rows longer than 50′ simply add additional bench systems to reach the desired length. Custom trays are 2-3/4 inches deep. They can have a mesh top or an expanded metal top instead of plastic trays. They can also be any height from 12″ on up. 

Manufactured from 12 gauge steel and formed for integrity to hold up to all growing needs. Designed with an anti-rotate stop plate so benches can withstand the load while cantilevered to the max width desired. Coated with either a DTM Clear finish or a powdercoat to endure everyday use in the garden. Added trellis mounts allow for vertical trellis posts (sold separately).

Price includes plastic tray and rolling bench system. Plastic tray tops are also available to purchase by themselves, for growers who wish to build their own benches. 

Trays are shipped in sections. Tray ends are designed to fit together to form desired length. Cementing the seams together is a simple process and we are here to answer any technical questions you may have. Cement and drain fittings are included with purchase.

All bench systems come standard with legs that have 3” adjustability. Bench height will be 24″ unless otherwise specified by customer. Rolling benches are also available in 2 or 3-tier models, which will utilize large, fixed-wheel casters or v-groove track for smooth and accurate movement.

All rolling bench systems are shipped via truck. Bench systems will ship from California, trays may ship separately from the midwest.

Systems are sold by the square foot. For example, if you need three rows of bench systems, each being 4′ wide by 40′ long, you would order 3x4x40 = 480 square feet. You may place your order over the phone. If you place your order online simply order the number of square feet you need and we will contact you to find out how you want the benches divided up.
