Complete Fluence Dimming & FLEX Cable Guide w/Diagrams
For connecting a Fluence dimmer to a single fixture only.
One end of this genuine Fluence DC Dimming Signal Cable connects to the Signal Wire Connector included with all Fluence dimmers, the other end connects to the power supply on most Gen 2 Fluence power supply units (PSU/PSE):
- SPYDR 2x
- SPYDR 2p
- SPYDR 2i
- VYPR 2x
- VYPR 2p
NOTE: This cable uses an M16 (push-lock) plug; if your power supply uses an M12 (metal screw-on type) then you will need to use an M12 FLEX cable or an M16 to M12 adapter.
To use with a Gen 1 fixture (SPYDRx, SPYDRx PLUS, RAZR or RAY) you have two options:
- Purchase a Fluence Dimming Threaded Cable Adapter (Fluence part #71370) and use in conjunction with the Dimming Signal Cable
- If you choose to use these two items together then you will be able to mount the dimmer up to 5′ away from the fixture
- Purchase a Threaded Dimming Signal Cable (Fluence part #70441) instead
- If you choose to use #70441 the dimmer will only be 6″ from the fixture, unless you purchase additional 18 AWG wire and connectors from your local hardware store to extend to the desired length
Plug type: Gen 2/Pushlock Female x Pigtail (bare wires)
Fluence part #: CDMA-71388

- M16 Twist Lock – This connector is used on most SPYDRx and VYPRx fixtures, and all RAZRx and RAY fixtures
