Complete Fluence Dimming & FLEX Cable Guide w/Diagrams – M12 Connector
This cable is NOT compatible with the M16 (plastic push-lock) dimming port found on older Gen 2 fixtures (see Connector Legend below). This cable uses an M12 (metal screw-on) connector.
For connecting a Fluence dimmer (or third party lighting controller/dimmer) to multiple fixtures only.
One end of this genuine Fluence DC Dimming Signal Cable connects to the Terminal Block on the Fluence dimmer (or third party lighting controller/dimmer), the other end connects to a Flex T-Connector or Flex Extension Cable.

This dimmer cable is compatible with Light Fixtures with PSU2 (M12) power supply. This pigtail trunk extension is 5 feet in length. The Max DC Volt rating is 12V. The Max DC Current rating is 7A. The connector end 1 is a threaded female M12 4-pin. The connector end 2 is pigtails. The cord type is AWM UL 21996/UL 22190 2X20 AWG/ 0.5mm², plus drain. The maximum quantity is up to 50 connected light fixtures per branch. The rated mA capacity of the light controller/dimmer used may support fewer fixtures per branch. The maximum distance between the first and last light fixtures is 200-300 feet. A single-point shield grounding to earth is recommended.
Connector Legend:
- M12 – Latest connector type, found on most new SPYDR 2, VYPR 3 and RAZRm fixtures
- M16 Push Lock – Predecessor of the M12, this connector type was used on all SPYDR 2 and VYPR 2 fixtures prior to the M12 introduction
- M16 Twist Lock – This connector is used on most SPYDRx and VYPRx fixtures, and all RAZRx and RAY fixtures
- 3.5mm Jack – This connector was used on some the oldest first generation SPYDRx and VYPRx fixtures
