What is Hypochlorus Acid?

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is naturally produced by the white blood cells of all mammals to destroy pathogens. It is a nontoxic substance that is approximately 80 times more effective than hypochlorite (bleach) at killing E. coli bacteria.
